NHL Game Summary - Phoenix at Boston

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Shane Doan scored late in the third period to help Phoenix salvage a 3-3 tie with Boston at the FleetCenter.
Mike Sillinger posted an goal and an assist for the Coyotes, who are unbeaten in their last two (1-0-1).
Chris Gratton also scored for Phoenix, which snapped a five-game losing streak in Boston, but remain winless in its last six (0-5-1) on the road against the Bruins. Tyson Nash dished out two assists.
Travis Green contributed a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who are winless in their last four (0-3-1). Patrice Bergeron and Glen Murray also scored.
Felix Potvin stopped 28 shots for Boston, which took a 3-2 lead just 16 seconds into the third period. Joe Thornton gathered a loose puck behind the net and fed a pass to the right circle, where Murray scored on a low wrist shot.
Doan's goal, from the center point with 1:08 left in the third period, forged a 3-3 tie. Sillinger won the faceoff to Paul Mara, who slid the puck to Doan. His one-timer beat Potvin to force overtime.
In the extra period, Boston had a 2-on-1 two minutes in, but couldn't muster a shot on goal. Then a shot by right wing Mike Knuble hit the right post with 90 seconds remaining.
Boston went ahead 1-0 on Green's second goal of the season at 4:51 of the first period. He outhustled Phoenix defenseman David Tanabe for the puck, then beat Sean Burke with a backhand.
Burke finished with 37 saves.
Sillinger forged a 1-1 tie with a shorthanded goal with nine seconds left in the first. He converted on a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle.
In the second period, Bergeron put the Bruins ahead 2-1 on a quick wrister from the right circle at 5:58. However, they failed to convert on a two-man advantage during the period.
The Coyotes ended the second in a 2-2 tie on Gratton's third goal. Nash carried the puck into the left circle and fed Gratton between the circles with 1:02 remaining in the period.
Thornton has 20 assists in the last 23 games for the Bruins, who are 4-2-3-1 at home...Murray has seven goals in his last 12 games...Ossi Vaananen chipped in with an assist for the Coyotes, who are 1-4-1 against Eastern conference opponents.
