NHL Game Summary - Phoenix at Dallas

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Rob DiMaio gave Dallas a third-period lead, but Jan Hrdina tallied for Phoenix as the Stars and Coyotes skated to a 3-3 tie at American Airlines Center.
Radoslav Suchy had a goal and an assist for Phoenix, which played its fourth straight overtime game (2-0-1-1). Krystofer Kolanos had two assists and Brian Boucher made 32 saves for the Coyotes.
Marty Turco turned aside 23-of-26 shots, including the only attempt by either team in overtime, for the Stars.
Dallas played without head coach Dave Tippett, as he had emergency surgery Friday to have a disc removed from his neck. Tippett awoke Friday to numbness in his right shoulder and arm, prompting the procedure. He is expected to return to work on Monday and resume his regular duties.
DiMaio scored with a blast from the right circle at 12:34 of the third period. The goal came shorthanded and gave the Stars a 3-2 edge.
Hrdina redirected a centering pass from Ladislav Nagy past Turco with 50 seconds left in the third period to force the extra session.
Boucher made 10 saves in a scoreless first period and Branko Radivojevic opened the scoring to give Phoenix a 1-0 lead at 11:58 of the middle stanza on a power play.
Scott Young's power-play goal at 15:42 of the second period evened the contest at a goal apiece.
Each team scored twice in the third period. Bill Guerin put the Stars on top for the first time with his second goal of the season at 7:38 of the third, but Suchy's fifth tally of the campaign knotted the contest at 2-2 at 9:28.
Dallas is unbeaten in its last seven against the Coyotes (4-0-3)...The Stars scored shorthanded for the first time this season...Each team scored once on five opportunities on the power play....Associate coach Rick Wilson ran the team against the Coyotes in Tippett's absence.
