Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Jason Arnott scored 17 seconds into overtime to lift Dallas to a 4-3 victory over Calgary at the AmericanAirlines Center.
Bill Guerin posted his fourth-career hat trick to help the Stars rally from a two-goal deficit in the third period for their second straight win. Arnott and Philippe Boucher each contributed three assists in the win.
Jarome Iginla, Oleg Saprykin and Chuck Kobasew scored for the Flames, who squandered a 3-1 lead in the third period and lost for the third time in four games.
Ron Tugnutt recorded six saves in relief of Marty Turco for Dallas, which responded with the final three goals to extend their unbeaten streak to 17 games (13-0-4) in the series.
Guerin completed his hat trick in the third to force overtime. He followed a rebound, off a shot by Teppo Numminen, 9:28 into the period.
Guerin forged a 3-3 tie 2:07 later. Boucher carried the puck into the offensive zone and fired a shot at Calgary goaltender Dany Sabourin. The rebound came to Guerin, who scored.
The Stars didn't wait long in overtime to score the game winner. Guerin delivered a pass from the left point to the right circle to Morrow, who took a shot. Arnott was waiting in the slot to poke in the decisive tally.
Iginla opened the scoring eight minutes into the first period. Steve Reinprecht gathered a pass in the right circle and fed the puck across the crease to Iginla, who notched his third goal of the season.
Guerin forged a 1-1 tie for Dallas with 5:10 remaining in the first half. He came around the side of the net and scored on a wrap around.
Consecutive tallies by Saprykin and Kobasew put the Flames ahead 3-1 early in the second period and chased Stars starting goaltender Marty Turco, who stopped eight of 11 shots.
Saprykin and Kobasew both converted at 1:35 and 6:19 of the period, respectively.
Guerin scored the third hat trick ever in the AmericanAirlines Center....The road team fell to 4-3-4 in the last 11 games in the series..The Flames fell to 3-2-3 in their last eight trips to Dallas.
