Calder made it 3-1 with 6:10 remaining. Steve McCarthy centered the puck to Calder in front. His first two attempts were stopped by Mason, but he kept poking at the puck and eventually knocked it underneath the goaltender and into the net for his second goal of the campaign.

After a scoreless first period, Nashville opened the scoring with Legwand's power-play goal at 16:54 of the middle frame. Zidlicky's shot was stopped by Thibault, but the rebound went in front to Legwand and he was able to tap the puck into the open net for his second tally of the year.
