Final Score: Florida 3, Montreal 1
Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - David Booth scored the tie-breaking goal on a penalty shot and Tomas Vokoun made 40 saves in Florida's 3-1 decision over Montreal at Bell Centre.
Michael Frolik and Shawn Matthias notched the other goals for the Panthers, who halted a brief two-game slide.

Montreal defenseman Andrei Markov, who underwent surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in May, took the ice for the hosts for the first time this season.
Frolik's backhander put the visitors ahead 1-0 12:10 into the game.
Darche emerged from a four-player tussle for the puck at the bottom of the right circle. He skated below the end line and then angled to his left toward the post and wristed the puck between the pads of Vokoun to tie the game 2:13 into the second period.
Booth was stopped on a breakaway and the backhand rebound by Price midway through the middle session before he scored on his penalty shot with 8:41 to go in the stanza to put the visitors in the lead for good.
"I tried to make Price move side-to-side," Booth said of his approach on the penalty shot. "He's going to make the first save on most shots you take. So, I was able to get him to move side-to-side because that was my best chance, and luckily it worked."
The left-hand shot went backhand to forehand to beat Price for his fourth goal of the year. He was awarded the one-on-one matchup after being pulled down on another breakaway by Jaroslav Spacek.
Brian Gionta was denied twice from the left doorstep during a 5-on-3 power play in the first minute of the third period.
"Special teams is what makes or breaks games," Gionta said. "You have to win those battles. Our power play hasn't been there all year. The 5-on-3 was huge for us, it was not the turning point but it was a key point in the game."
Vokoun made a save on a P.J. Subban wrister from the point and two follow up shots on a Montreal power play with just under five minutes to go in the game.
Less than two minutes later, Price made a pad save on a Steve Reinprecht shot but Matthias was there to backhand the rebound home to make it 3-1 Panthers.
Vokoun earned his fifth career win over the Canadiens...Matthias has three goals in four career games against Montreal...Frolik's goal was his first of the season and fourth in nine games against the Canadiens...Price is 2-3-0 in five meetings with Florida.
