NHL Game Summary - Vancouver at Dallas

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Daniel Sedin had the eventual game-winning goal in the third period while Roberto Luongo made 31 saves, as the Canucks took a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Stars.
Ryan Kesler had a goal and an assist for the Canucks, who have won two in a row to finish their current road trip 3-0-1. Alexandre Burrows also scored to seal Vancouver's fifth win in its last six contests.
Loui Eriksson scored the lone goal for the Stars, who had a two-game win streak broken. Marty Turco made 24 saves in the setback.
Vancouver held a 1-0 lead entering the final period, but Eriksson netted the equalizer just 37 seconds in, when he gathered a loose puck by the right post and put it in net.
However, the Canucks went on the power play at 1:24, when Mike Modano was called for high-sticking. A little more than a minute into the man advantage, Sedin got the puck in the crease and tried to backhand a pass out in front. However, the puck hit off a Stars player and went into the net for a 2-1 Vancouver lead.
Dallas scrambled in the final minutes, but Luongo was strong in denying the Stars the tying goal. Burrows scored on an empty net with 16.1 seconds left to secure the victory.
In a scoreless opening period, Luongo stopped 10 shots and Turco turned aside 11. Kesler then put Vancouver in front 1:30 into the second, when his wrister from the slot rang off the post before going in.
Dallas had an apparent goal later in the middle frame, but it was called off after Brenden Morrow apparently kicked in the loose puck.
Vancouver was 1-for-2 on the power play, while Dallas was 0-for-2...The Stars wrapped up their brief homestand Saturday to finish 2-1-0, and play at New Jersey on Tuesday...Vancouver hosts Columbus on Tuesday to begin a four-game homestand.
