Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Pekka Rinne made 27 saves to help the Nashville Predators take a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars at Sommet Center.
Shea Weber, Kevin Klein, Steve Sullivan and Patric Hornqvist each had a goal for the Predators, who have won four of their last five. Dan Hamhuis and Jean-Pierre Dumont each had two assists in the win.
Brian Sutherby and Steve Ott each had a goal for the Stars, who have dropped their past two games. Alex Auld was charged with four goals on 33 shots in the loss.
Trailing by a goal to start the third, the Predators rallied for three goals in the frame to surge ahead.
They tied the contest just 3:17 in on Sullivan's second goal of the season, a wrister that got past Auld.
With 9:01 to play, Nashville went ahead thanks to Hornqvist's third goal of the season and made it a two-goal game just 43 seconds later on Klein's slapper past Auld.
The Stars got on the board just 3:31 into the game on the power play as Ott jammed the puck into the net during a scrum in front, his second goal of the season.
However, Nashville answered with a power-play goal of its own as Weber's slap shot found the back of the net with 7:16 to play in the opening frame.
Dallas made it a 2-1 game at the 2:15 mark of the second period as Sutherby's slapper beat Rinne for his fourth goal of the season.
Prior to the game, the Predators recalled forwards Peter Olvecky, Andreas Thuresson and Chris Mueller from Milwaukee of the AHL...The Predators start a four-game road trip in Anaheim on Thursday...Dallas hosts Calgary on Wednesday...Each team scored once on the power play as Dallas had five chances and Nashville three.
