Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Stephane Robidas scored the eventual game- winning goal midway through the third period, as the Dallas Stars edged the Chicago Blackhawks, 4-3, at United Center.

Brenden Morrow, Toby Petersen, and Mike Ribeiro each scored a goal for the Stars, who were coming off a 3-0 loss to the Bruins on Friday. Alex Auld stopped 29-of-32 shots for the victors.

Niklas Hjalmarsson, Jonathan Toews, and Troy Brouwer each lit the lamp for the Blackhawks, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Cristobal Huet turned aside 21-of-25 shots for Chicago, which started a four-game homestand on Saturday.

Ahead 3-2, Robidas dumped the puck into the Chicago zone midway through the third frame. The disc bounced and slipped past Huet for a two-goal lead at the 10:27 mark.

Hjalmarsson, who was positioned between the circles, fired a shot past Auld to cut the gap to 4-3 with 4:28 to go.

Auld made nine saves in the third period to secure the victory for Dallas.

After a scoreless first period, Dallas drew first blood on Morrow's goal at the 2:17 mark of the second. Fabian Brunnstrom's shot from the left circle deflected off Huet, setting up a rebound, and Morrow chipped the loose puck into the back of the net.

The Stars used a Ribeiro tip-in at the 5:10 mark to build a two-goal margin. Just 34 seconds later, Brouwer scored an unassisted goal to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Dallas went ahead 3-1 on Petersen's goal at the 9:31 mark, but Toews lit the lamp with 3:36 left to make it a 3-2 game heading into the third period.
