(Sunday, December 23rd)

Final Score: Dallas 4, Montreal 1

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Mike Ribeiro's goal and two assists paced Dallas over Montreal, 4-1, at American Airlines Center.

Antti Miettinen added a goal and a helper for the Stars, who have won six of their last seven games. Stu Barnes and Brenden Morrow also tallied and Marty Turco notched the win with 17 saves.

"It was a good effort all the way around and now we're going to enjoy these next few days and get back to work on Wednesday," said Morrow. "It was a solid outing for us coming home after a long road trip."

Andrei Markov provided the lone offense for the Canadiens, who have lost three of their last four games. Carey Price allowed four goals on 21 shots in defeat.

Goals by Miettinen at 7:39 and Morrow at 11:32 staked the Stars to a 2-0 advantage after one period. Ribeiro picked up primary assists on both.

Following a scoreless second period which featured only nine combined shots, the Stars tacked on two more tallies in the early portion of the third as Ribeiro and Barnes hit the net in a 2:01 span.

Montreal finally broke the shutout when Markov scored with 6:25 left in the contest, but the Stars prevented a comeback with some trademark defensive play down the stretch.
