Bill Thomas, Shane Doan and Jeremy Roenick each scored and Curtis Joseph gave up six goals on 31 shots for the Coyotes, who have dropped seven of their last eight games.

With the score tied at 3-3 after two periods of play, Guite blocked a Coyotes' shot at the blue line, skated in alone on Joseph and fired top-shelf at the 3:37 mark of the third period to put Colorado in front.

Phoenix then had several golden opportunities to net the equalizer throughout the period, but Budaj repeatedly had an answer.

Richardson then beat Joseph with a wrister with 1:16 remaining to hand the Avs a two-goal cushion and Stastny followed just 25 seconds later with his second tally of the game.
