Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Ladislav Nagy netted the game-winning goal 30
seconds into overtime to lift the Phoenix Coyotes past the Boston Bruins, 2-1,
at TD Banknorth Garden.
Mike Johnson also scored and Nagy added an assist for the Coyotes, who won for
the fifth time in their last six games. Petr Nedved had an assist and Curtis

Brian Leetch had the lone goal for the Bruins, who have lost their last three
games. Patrice Bergeron and Marco Sturm added assists and Hannu Toivonen
allowed two goals on 32 shots faced in the loss.
In the overtime session, Nagy took control of the puck in his own zone and
carried it all the way into the offensive zone. He then fired a shot from the
left circle that beat Toivonen glove side for the victory.
Johnson's rebound goal from the right side of the net on the power-play 1:06
into the third tied the contest at 1-1 and led to the overtime session.
Boston netted the only goal of the first period, a power-play tally 2:29 into
the game, for a 1-0 edge.
With Zbynek Michalek off for holding, Sturm hit Bergeron with a pass the
center took behind the net. Bergeron then found Leetch in the slot with a pass
the defenseman converted into a goal, his fourth of the season.
The two teams combined for 21 shots, 15 by Phoenix, and each team would
have two power-play opportunities in the second. However, neither team could
light the lamp and the score remained a 1-0 Bruin advantage.
