NHL Game Summary - Anaheim at Phoenix

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Teemu Selanne scored two goals and added an assist, as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim remained hot with a 5-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes at Glendale Arena.

Scott Niedermayer also scored and Ryan Getzlaf finished with two assists in the Ducks' sixth straight win overall. The victory also helped Anaheim remain in the fifth playoff spot in the Western Conference, one point ahead of Colorado.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 32 saves in the win.

Mike Comrie and Oleg Kvasha both scored for the Coyotes, who had a three-game winning streak snapped. David LeNeveu allowed all five goals on 27 shots faced as Phoenix fell to 1-7 against the Ducks this season.

Phoenix jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead just 1:09 into the game on Comrie's 25th goal of the season, but Niedermayer netted the equalizer midway through the frame on a shot from the left circle at 12:29.

Selanne then gave the Ducks a 2-1 edge on his 32nd goal of the season after he ripped a slap shot from the left circle past LeNeveu while on the power play.

The Coyotes managed to tie the contest at 2-2 just 1:48 into the second on a goal by Kvasha, but Anaheim netted the next two goals in the period.

Corey Perry put the Ducks in front at 4:19 of the second after his shot from the left circle sailed over LeNeveu's glove and Selanne's second goal of the game less then one minute later made it a 4-2 game after the star forward tipped a Chris Kunitz pass into the net from the right side.

Anaheim got a power-play goal from Francois Beauchemin at 13:31 of the third to go ahead 5-2 after Beauchemin fired a shot from the top of the right circle that found the back of the net.

Game Notes

Phoenix outshot Anaheim 34-27...The Coyotes went an impressive 3-for-4 on the power play while the Coyotes failed to net a power-play tally on seven tries...Selanne remained red hot and now has four goals and eight assists in his last five games...Anaheim has won four straight on the road...The Mighty Ducks will face Colorado on Tuesday.
