(Tuesday, March 14th)

Final Score: Nashville 5, Vancouver 0

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Tomas Vokoun stopped all 31 shots he faced to record his third shutout of the season and five different Predators lit the lamp, as Nashville downed Vancouver, 5-0, at Gaylord Entertainment Center.

Dan Hamhuis and Scott Hartnell each tallied a goal and an assist for the Predators, who have won three of their last four games. Steve Sullivan added three assists in the win.

The victory was Nashville's third in four games against Vancouver this season.

Vokoun, meanwhile, kept the Canucks out of the net on eight power-play opportunities to record his 15th career shutout.

Vancouver netminder Mika Noronen was not as successful as his counterpart, allowing five goals on 27 shots faced in defeat. The Canucks have now lost five games in a row.

Nashville netted a short-handed tally early in the first to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission. Down a man, Hamhuis took a feed at the left point before ripping a shot that beat Noronen 3:05 into the contest.

Brendan Witt recorded an assist on Nashville's second goal, a tally by Jordin Tootoo. Paul Kariya found Witt at the right point and the newly acquired defender sent a shot that Tootoo deflected past Noronen at 8:28 of the second.

Scottie Upshall's seventh goal of the season with 4:05 remaining in the second sent the Predators into the third with a 3-0 edge.

Jerred Smithson's fifth goal of the season at 8:28 of the third extended Nashville's lead to four and Hartnell capped the scoring in the contest with his 22nd of the year at 10:29.
