Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Sean Burke made 31 saves en route to his 34th career shutout, leading Phoenix over Anaheim, 2-0, in the home opener at the Pond.

Ladislav Nagy and Daymond Langkow each found the back of the net for the Coyotes, who have won their first two games of the season.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 26 shots for the Mighty Ducks, who are still looking for their first point and have scored only two goals in three games this season.

At 9:27 of the opening period, Nagy broke a scoreless game with his first tally of the season. While on the power play, Nagy scored from the right circle with a shot up high.

Anaheim outshot Phoenix 9-8 in a scoreless second stanza, before Langkow sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with just five seconds to play.

The Ducks failed to score on five chances with the power play and are now just 2-of-13 on the season with the man-advantage.

Game Notes

Before the game Anaheim raised its Western Conference championship banner...The Coyotes picked up their first win in their last four trips to the Pond (1-2-1)...Anaheim has been outscored 9-2 this season...There was a moment of silence before the game for Dan Snyder of the Atlanta Thrashers, who died on October 6, of injuries suffered in a car crash.
