St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Shawn Horcoff had a goal and two assists as
the Edmonton Oilers doubled up the St. Louis Blues, 4-2, at Scottrade Center.
Dustin Penner had a goal and an assist while Andrew Cogliano and Sheldon
Souray also lit the lamp for the Oilers, who had dropped five of six coming
into the contest. Dwayne Roloson made 27 saves in the win.
Brad Boyes and Patrik Berglund each had a goal for the Blues, who have dropped
their past two games. Manny Legace made 18 saves in the loss.
Trailing by two goals, the Oilers scored four unanswered goals over the second
and third periods to take the lead.
With under five minutes to play in the second, Edmonton skated into the St.
Louis end on a 2-on-2 rush and from the right circle, Robert Nilsson sent a
backhand pass through two defenders to the stick of Cogliano, who snuck the

Just 20 seconds into the third, Edmonton grabbed its first lead of the game
with a power-play goal as Penner banged the puck into the net during a melee
Less than three minutes later, the Oilers gave themselves some breathing room
as Penner sent a hard pass from the left circle to the right circle where
Horcoff was wide open for a one-timer past Legace.
St. Louis was unable to mount any effective pressure down the stretch as
Edmonton skated out of the building with a win.
The Blues scored 7:09 into the contest as David Perron backhanded a centering
pass as he was about to skate behind the net from the left side and Boyes
tapped it in.
Just 47 seconds later, off of a left circle faceoff win, Berglund skated
around the net and from the right side shot the puck past Roloson for a
Legace stopped seven shots in the first frame to keep Edmonton off the
