NHL Game Summary - St. Louis at Edmonton

Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Sam Gagner scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, and added an assist, as the Edmonton Oilers got past the St. Louis Blues, 2-1.

Gilbert Brule also scored for Edmonton, which snapped a two-game slide. Dwayne Roloson stopped 21-of-22 shots in the win, the Oilers' fifth consecutive over St. Louis.

Yan Stastny scored the lone goal for the Blues, who had a two-game win streak -- during which they totaled 11 goals -- ended. Manny Legace made 26 saves in the loss.

In a scoreless first period, St. Louis had 10 shots and Edmonton nine, but neither team could get the puck across the goal-line.

Stastny got St. Louis on the board just 2:44 into the second period, but at 8:49 Brule's first point in an Edmonton uniform evened the score.

Gagner then got the disc past Legace at 6:31 of the third, and Edmonton held on for the win from there.

Game Notes

Each team went 0-for-5 on the power play...St. Louis plays at Calgary on Tuesday...Edmonton travels to Washington to take on the Caps, Tuesday.
