NHL Game Summary - Atlanta at Edmonton

Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Marty Reasoner scored with 49.3 seconds
remaining in overtime to lift the Atlanta Thrashers to a 4-3 win over the
Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place.
Zach Bogosian, Bryan Little and Jim Slater also scored for the Thrashers, who
have posted four straight wins. Vyacheslav Kozlov recorded two assists and
Johan Hedberg made 29 saves to get the win.
Patrick O'Sullivan, Shawn Horcoff and Robert Nilsson had the goals for
Edmonton, which is 3-3-4 in its last 10 games. Dwayne Roloson was beaten four
times on 33 shots in defeat.
Trailing 3-2 in the second period and Atlanta on a power play, Bogosian one-
timed a feed from Tobias Enstrom behind Roloson with 7:52 remaining. Both
clubs generated shots in a scoreless third frame and the game went to
overtime, where Reasoner broke in alone on the Edmonton netminder and slipped
the puck through the pads of Roloson for the game-winner.
Slater opened the scoring 2:24 into the contest, then Horcoff countered on the
power play at 9:43 of the first period. Little restored the lead for Atlanta
with 6:24 to play in the opening frame before O'Sullivan and Nilsson tallied
1:23 apart early in the middle stanza.
Game Notes
Atlanta captain Ilya Kovalchuk left the game in the first period with an
upper-body injury and did not return...The Thrashers bested Edmonton for the
first time since February 5, 2002.
