Nashville gets Gaustad from Buffalo
Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators acquired physical center Paul Gaustad and a fourth-round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a first-round pick in 2012.
The 6-foot-4, 229-pound Gaustad has been credited with 98 hits, 40 blocked shots and 70 penalty minutes in 56 games this season. He has also been an offensive threat, scoring seven goals and posting 17 points.
In eight NHL seasons, all with the Sabres, the 30-year-old North Dakota native has 72 goals, 181 points and 585 penalty minutes in 479 games.
