Description: Redskins tailback Alfred Morris had the game of his life Sunday against Dallas. He finished the night with 200 yards and three touchdowns on a career-high 33 carries as Washington clinched its first division title in 13 years.
Insight: Morris really picked the wrong year to be a rookie. Just about any other season, Morris' 1,613 rushing yards (2nd in the NFL and also a Redskins single-season record) and 13 touchdowns (second in the league behind Houston's Arian Foster) would be good enough to win the Rookie of the Year Award. Unfortunately, he might not even come in the top three thanks to the brilliance of quarterbacks Robert Griffin III, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson.

Description: Washington running back Alfred Morris punched in a pair of touchdowns Sunday in a 38-21 victory over the Browns.
Insight: Morris is having a rookie year for the ages. His 1,322 rushing yards this season are the most by a rookie since Adrian Peterson scrambled to 1,341 yards back in 2007. That's also the most by a Redskins halfback since Clinton Portis posted 1,487 yards back in 2008.

12/16/2012 12:13:00 PM
Description: Redskins halfback Alfred Morris is active for Sunday's tilt with Cleveland. Morris had been a question mark earlier in the week because of an illness.
Insight: With RG3 on the shelf, this could be a big week for Morris, who leads all rookies with 1,235 rushing yards this season (Tampa Bay's Doug Martin is right behind him at 1,234 yards). The Browns aren't particularly stingy against the run either (17th in rushing yards allowed), so Morris should be able to extend his streak of 100-yard games to four in a row.

12/14/2012 2:38:00 PM
Description: Washington tailback Alfred Morris is questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland due to illness.
Insight: We fully expect Morris to play so the illness shouldn't make you take Morris out of your lineup. He's been one of this year's biggest surprises at the running back position with 1,232 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.

12/9/2012 8:03:00 PM
Description: Washington tailback Alfred Morris burned Baltimore for 122 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries Sunday.
Insight: Morris did lose a fumble for the second straight week but has put together three straight 100-yard games. He has also carried 20-plus times for four straight weeks and is in no danger of losing carries to anyone else. Keep starting him with confidence.

10/28/2012 4:45:00 PM
Description: Washington halfback Alfred Morris had his worst game of the season Sunday versus Pittsburgh, tallying 59 yards on 13 rushes.
Insight: The Steelers led 20-6 at halftime, forcing Washington to pass the ball in the second half. Morris still has 717 yards on 151 carries and five rushing scores in the first eight games of his NFL career.

10/21/2012 6:53:00 PM
Description: Washington halfback Alfred Morris rushed for a career-high 120 yards on 22 carries Sunday against the Giants.
Insight: Unfortunately for fantasy owners he failed to find the end zone for the second time in the last three weeks while also coughing up his first fumble of the season. Despite these shortcomings, the super-consistent Morris continues to be a must-start in all fantasy formats.

10/7/2012 4:59:00 PM
Description: Redskins rookie running back Alfred Morris had his second straight 100-yard game Sunday against Atlanta. Through five games, Morris has 491 yards and four touchdowns on 100 carries.
Insight: Morris has earned the trust of Mike Shanahan and is clearly the best running back Washington has. While Shanahan has been unpredictable in the past, he clearly likes Morris a lot and is going to feed him as long as he's healthy.

9/30/2012 7:57:00 PM
Description: Redskins rookie Alfred Morris carried 21 times for 113 yards and collected his fourth rushing touchdown of the season Sunday against the Buccaneers.
Insight: Barring injury, Morris isn't going away, even with Mike Shanahan as his coach. His competition has been so injury prone that the team saw fit to add washed up Ryan Grant. Morris has 82 carries in four games; no other running back has more than seven.

9/9/2012 5:23:00 PM
Description: Redskins rookie Alfred Morris started and handled a heavy workload in Week 1, carrying the ball 28 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Insight: Evan Royster and Roy Helu had two carries apiece. Don't go crazy trying to acquire Morris' services. Remember, Tim Hightower had 45 carries for 168 yards in the first two weeks last season.

9/9/2012 10:58:00 AM
Description: According to NBC 4 Washington, the Redskins are expected to start rookie Alfred Morris at running back.
Insight: Due to the fluid nature of Mike Shanahan's backfield, we'd advise you to avoid this situation entirely. Just because Morris is the starter doesn't mean he'll receive the most carries. Roy Helu and Evan Royster will be in the mix as well.

9/8/2012 10:44:00 AM
Description: According to the Washington Post, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan declined to name a running back starter for Week 1, saying he prefers to "keep them guessing."
Insight: Shanahan was likely talking about keeping the opponent guessing, but he might as well have been talking about fantasy owners. The Washington Post said rookie Alfred Morris is the likely starter, but Evan Royster and Roy Helu figure to be in the mix for carries as well. None of the three is a preferred fantasy option for Week 1.

8/28/2012 10:27:00 PM
Description: Washington running back Alfred Morris could be the team's starter in Week 1. Morris has excelled this preseason while the other options have struggled with injuries.
Insight: Morris has average 5.0 ypc this preseason. A Mike Shanahan running back situation is always fluid, but it's looking like Morris will factor heavily into the team's plans in Week 1. After that, however, is anyone's guess.
