Falcons place Jones on IR, sign Robiskie

Flowery Branch, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Falcons placed wide receiver Julio Jones on injured reserve Thursday, officially ending his season, and signed wide receiver Brian Robiskie.

Jones fractured his foot during Monday night's 30-28 loss to the New York Jets and will undergo surgery on Monday. He caught 41 passes for 580 yards and two touchdowns in five games for the 1-4 Falcons this season.

Robiskie played in six games last season with the Detroit Lions, hauling in four passes for 44 yards with a touchdown. He was a second-round pick in the 2009 draft by the Cleveland Browns out of Ohio State and spent his first three seasons with the Browns.

Entering his fifth NFL season, Robiskie has 43 career receptions for 485 yards and four touchdowns.

His father, Terry, is the Falcons' assistant head coach and wide receivers coach.
