Steelers' Miller on track to return

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller put in a third consecutive full practice on Friday, increasing the 2012 Pro Bowl selection's chances of making his season debut in this weekend's game against Chicago.

Miller spent the entire preseason on the active/physically unable to perform list and sat out Pittsburgh's first two regular-season games while recovering from a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. The ninth-year veteran suffered the injury in the 2012 finale against Cincinnati last December.

The 30-year-old is coming off a strong 2012 campaign in which he set career bests for receiving yards (816) and touchdown catches (8) while coming up with 71 receptions. His anticipated return should provide a boost to a Pittsburgh offense that's managed just 19 points in the team's two losses to begin the season.

Pittsburgh also got good news on the status of rookie running back Le'Veon Bell. The second-round draft pick, who sprained his foot during the preseason and also missed the first two weeks, practiced fully for a second straight day on Friday. Bell is still listed questionable for Sunday's matchup, however, and it's uncertain as to whether he'll be active.
