Englewood, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos signed veteran running back Willis McGahee on Sunday.
The Denver Post reported McGahee's deal is for four years at roughly $9.5 million.
McGahee was cut by the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the week after spending the last four seasons with them.
The 29-year-old has rushed for over 1,100 yards three times in his career -- although not since 2007 when he ran for 1,207 yards in his first year with the Ravens. He started just two of the 15 games he played last season and rushed for 380 yards and five touchdowns.
A standout in college at Miami-Florida, McGahee suffered a significant knee injury in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, but that didn't stop the Buffalo Bills from selecting him in the first round (23rd overall) of that year's draft.
For his career, McGahee has rushed for 6,167 yards and 55 touchdowns while catching 164 passes for 1,047 yards and four scores.
