Ravens' QB coach heading to Oakland

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson has been named offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders did not have an offensive coordinator last season as embattled current head coach Tom Cable handled those duties. Speculation surrounding Cable's job security has been rampant since the Raiders completed the 2009 season with a record of 5-11.

The addition of Jackson solidifies one element of Oakland's coaching staff with the play-calling duties set to switch hands. Jackson previously served as offensive coordinator for Atlanta in 2007 and Washington in 2003.

Jackson spent two seasons as quarterbacks coach for the Ravens, helping develop Joe Flacco, who has been the team's starter for two years since being selected as a first-round pick in 2008.

Cable and Jackson worked together at the University of California in 1996.
