Texas' Ebanks takes weekly honors

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Texas Legends Devin Ebanks was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 16- Sunday, Dec. 22.
Ebanks, a 6-9, 215 pound forward from West Virginia led Texas to a 2-1 week, including back-to-back road wins over the Erie BayHawks. For the week, he averaged 31.3 points, shooting 52-percent from the floor, to go with 7.7 rebounds and 42.3 minutes. He began the week with a 32-point outing on Dec. 18 against the Springfield Armor before recording 35 points two days later in Erie. He was one shy of a double-double to close out the week, finishing with 27 points and nine rebounds on Dec 21.
The honor is the first for Ebanks this season, who is averaging 24.6 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists on the year.
Other top performers considered include Bakersfield's Jared Cunningham, on assignment from the Atlanta Hawks, Erie's Jeremy Tyler, Fort Wayne's Ron Howard, Iowa's Othyus Jeffers, Los Angeles' Manny Harris, Maine's Chris Wright Rio Grande Valley's Isaiah Canaan, on assignment from the Houston Rockets, Santa Cruz' Dewayne Dedmon, Sioux Falls' Justin Hamilton, Springfield's Willie Reed, and Tulsa's Reggie Williams.
