Description: Grizzlies guard-forward Quincy Pondexter (sprained MCL) will not play again until after the All-Star break. SOURCE: Rob Fischer, Grizzlies sideline reporter | Insight: Pondexter returned from a five-week absence Sunday but played just four minutes. Memphis coach Lionel Hollins said that Pondexter didn't have a setback but he is sore since "sideline conditioning is not the same as game conditioning." Description: Grizzlies guard-forward Quincy Pondexter (sprained MCL) is in the final stages of his rehab work. There's still no timetable for his return. | Insight: Teammate Zach Randolph had the same injury in his right knee last season and missed two and a half months. Pondexter (6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg) doesn't have much fantasy value, but his return will eat into Rudy Gay's floor time. Gay has been averaging 37 mpg in December and January.

Description: Grizzlies guard-forward Quincy Pondexter has a grade 2 sprain of his left MCL. There's no timetable for his return. SOURCE: Rob Fischer, Grizzlies sideline reporter | Insight: Teammate Zach Randolph had the same injury in his right knee last season and missed two and a half months. Pondexter (6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg) doesn't carry the same fantasy importance as Randolph, however, as a three-point specialist (42.3 percent from that distance this season). If you've been relying on him, you should be able to find a decent enough replacement on the waiver wire.

Description: Quincy Pondexter exited Monday night's game against the Cavaliers with a left knee injury. He will not return. | Insight: Pondexter got a little bit of action as a starter when Tony Allen was out earlier in the month but now that the Grizzlies have been healthy again for a few weeks, Pondexter hasn't been on the court enough to be a good fantasy option. Pondexter is scheduled to have an MRI on the troublesome knee some time tomorrow.

Description: Pondexter had a career-high ten points in a loss to the Spurs. | Insight: The 6-foot-6 forward from Washington is averaging just 3.2 points and 9.8 minutes. He may not have the ballhandling skills to be a quality NBA small forward, but he can defend and shoot. (RapidDraft.com)
