Name  Austin Daye
Born  6/5/1988
Height  6-11
Weight  200
College  Gonzaga
1/10/2015 10:38:00 PM
Description: Spurs forward Austin Daye led San Antonio with 22 points on Saturday.
Insight: Daye started on Saturday, which was his first extensive game action in about a month, and he shot 8-of-13, including 4-for-8 from the 3-point line. Daye also had 10 rebounds. Fantasy owners still need to see this more often in order to consider Daye fantasy relevant.
4/3/2014 11:38:00 AM
Description: Spurs forward Austin Daye is questionable for Thursday's game against Oklahoma City due to a strained left lat muscle.
Insight: Daye has not fantasy value as he buried deep on the depth chart. He averages just 2.9 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.4 apg.
1/5/2013 9:14:00 AM
Description: Pistons forward Austin Daye's 20 points on Friday against the Hawks were a season high.
Insight: Daye made 9-of-11 from the field and had six rebounds in the game after going 5-of-10 for 13 points on Tuesday. Daye probably isn't going to get many more minutes than the 22 he played on Friday so he can be ignored in fantasy leagues.
3/26/2011 10:26:00 PM
Description: Austin Daye has cracked the rotation again by playing 24 minutes that yielded seven points, six boards, a steal, and three.
Insight: This wasn't nearly as good as his last game and nobody is going to be running to add Daye in your league. He is more of a player to add-drop in daily leagues next week.
3/26/2011 12:13:00 AM
Description: Austin Daye had his predictable random gem with 12 points, seven boards, two steals, three blocks, and a three in 28 minutes.
Insight: Please play this man. Daye has tremendous upside and if for some reason he can flirt with 30 minutes, he would have value in most competitive leagues. The ugly Detroit schedule does make him a less attractive add though.
3/3/2011 12:03:00 AM
Description: Austin Daye dropped 22 points in a losing effort to go with his four boards and two threes in a team-high 39 minutes.
Insight: If we said Daye would be playing 39 minutes in a game back on October, he probably would have been drafted in the 10th round or so. He has sky-high upside and is a very nice add for owners looking for help in the goody cats (3PM, steals, blocks).
1/29/2011 1:11:00 AM
Description: Austin Daye got the start and played 42 minutes in the loss to Miami. He had some nice output in this one with 19 points, nine boards, a steal, a block, and three triples.
Insight: This is why he was one of the most hyped guys coming into the season. He has a tremendous ceiling and should be on all watch lists. Deep league owners should take a few seconds to figure out if the guys on the bottom of their benches are going to be better than Daye.
1/24/2011 11:42:00 PM
Description: Austin Daye took over in the second half to help sink the Magic with 20 points, four threes, seven boards, and two steals in 34 minutes.
Insight: This is what we expected in our Waiver Wire Scoops article today. Charlie Villanueva should be back in the near future, so Daye will need some sort of break to become an add in standards. He has a Batum-like upside and deep league owners, especially weekly, should think about adding him.
1/11/2011 1:14:00 AM
Description: Austin Daye had his second nice game in a row with 14 points, two threes, and a block in 24 minutes. Charlie Villanueva played just 17 minutes, scored three points, and pulled down seven rebounds.
Insight: Monroe seems like the better add for now, however Daye is loaded with upside and his tremendous preseason could have fantasy owners running to the wire to nab him. It's no secret the Pistons are falling out of it, so they could give Daye some run sooner rather than later.
11/18/2010 12:12:00 AM
Description: Austin Daye got the start for Detroit and came up with 12 points, seven boards, two blocks, and a steal in 23 minutes.
Insight: That's two good games in a row for Daye, so it might be about time to pick him back up. His value is of the long-term variety and if you want to add him, then check your patience at the "Add Player" page.
Description: Daye had 12 points and 7 rebounds in the loss to the Lakers tonight.
Insight: He also hit four of his nine shots and had two blocks in the game. (RapidDraft.com)
11/16/2010 11:31:00 AM
Description: After not playing in his last game, Austin Daye had a decent line of 14 points, three rebounds, three boards, and two threes in 25 minutes.
Insight: Daye still has some upside, but it is really tough to hold on when he is not playing in certain games. He had a great matchup against Golden State with the way he plays, so we probably won't see another line like this for a while. Keep an eye on him though.
11/10/2010 10:04:00 AM
Description: Daye had 15 points and eight rebounds. He did his scoring on just five shots and only missed one shot from the field.
Insight: Daye is one of the few Pistons with upside and he hit three three-pointers in the loss against Portland. He is averaging 8.6 points and 4.3 rebounds. (RapidDraft.com)
11/10/2010 1:04:00 AM
Description: Daye started once again for the Pistons and had productive game in 22 minutes of work with 15 points and eight rebounds. He also hit all three of his three point attempts.
Insight: Coming into tonight's game, Daye was shooting just 35 percent from the field and was actually shooting better from three point land at close to 39 percent per game. Fortunately, he hit 4 of his 5 shots from the field tonight, three of which were three pointers. (RapidDraft.com)
11/10/2010 12:47:00 AM
Description: Austin Daye finally had a good game with 15 points, eight rebounds, three triples, a steal, and a block in 23 minutes.
Insight: He made all four of his free throws and 4-of-5 from the floor. If for some reason he is out there on waivers it might be time to pick him back up. Daye has Batum-like upside since he can do it all.
11/2/2010 11:02:00 PM
Description: Daye had a decent game against the Boston Celtics tonight scoring 16 points and hauling in five rebounds.
Insight: The Austin Daye experiment continues and with this game under his belt it looks like he is showing some progress. Owners in deeper leagues should keep an eye on Daye who looks like he could be a decent pickup if he continues this kind of play. (RapidDraft.com)
11/2/2010 10:14:00 PM
Description: Austin Daye was off to a sluggish start prior to Tuesday, but he finally got it going with 16 points, five boards, and a three in 27 minutes.
Insight: The problem is this game was a blowout, so his best line of the season does come with a grain of salt. He should still be owned for his upside.
10/23/2010 10:05:00 PM
Description: According to the Detroit News, Daye will start at power forward on opening night.
Insight: This might be old news, but at least it's a confirmation. He has the talent to join the elusive one block/one steal/ one three pointer club and is worth a late round pick in most drafts. (RapidDraft.com)
10/23/2010 3:21:00 PM
Description: Austin Daye has won the starting power forward job for the Pistons. SOURCE: Detroit News
Insight: He is pretty much a must-own with all the upside he showed at the end of last season and this preseason. He is probably going to be the second most valuable Piston behind Rodney Stuckey this season.
10/22/2010 9:14:00 PM
Description: Austin Daye finished up one of the most impressive preseasons in the league with a beautiful multi-cat line of 22 points, six boards, one block, and three bombs in 36 minutes.
Insight: This guy can do it all. Daye should get some minutes as the Pistons have their eyes on the future and he is basically a must-add in all formats. And hey, if you draft him there are countless numbers of fantasy team names you could come up with by owning him.
