Atlanta Hawks (33-40) at Memphis Grizzlies (19-54), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Hawks continue their push towards the playoffs, as they visit the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at FedExForum.
Atlanta is No. 8 in the Eastern Conference playoff race, and is 2 1/2 games ahead of New Jersey for the final playoff berth in the conference.
The Hawks defeated the Grizzlies, 86-78, on December 8 at Philips Arena. The Hawks have won three in a row in the series and are 5-6 at the Grizzlies.
Atlanta enters tonight's contest on a three-game winning streak. Marvin Williams scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Hawks increased their playoff chances with a 114-109 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday at Philips Arena.
Joe Johnson poured in 25 points and dished out 13 assists, while rookie Al Horford netted 18 and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for Atlanta, which will host Toronto on Wednesday and Philadelphia on Friday.
The Hawks are a dismal 9-27 on the road this season. They have lost two in a row as the visitor.
Memphis opens a three-game homestand, and returns home after going 1-2 on a three-game road trip. On Saturday, rookie Al Thornton tied a Clippers rookie record by scoring a career-high 39 points, as Los Angeles earned a 110-97 win over the Grizzlies at the Staples Center.
Rudy Gay tallied 23 points for the Grizzlies, who failed to complete a weekend sweep at the Staples Center after shocking the Lakers, 114-111, on Friday. Kyle Lowry had 20 points, Mike Conley netted 17 and Hakim Warrick scored 14 in defeat.
The Grizzlies are 13-23 at home this season. They will also host New York and Golden State on the homestand.
