(Sports Network) - The Sacramento Kings will attempt to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak when they host the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at ARCO Arena.
The teams have split a pair of contests this season. However, the Grizzlies have lost 18 straight at Sacramento and are 1-23 all-time as the visitor in this series.
The last time the Grizzlies beat the Kings on the road was on April 19, 1998.
Sacramento opens a two-game homestand this evening. On Monday, Houston's Rafer Alston scored 28 points and dished out five assists to lead the Rockets to a 108-100 victory over the Kings at the Toyota Center.
Kevin Martin poured in 18 points for the Kings, who have dropped three in a row and 11 of their last 16 games overall. Francisco Garcia and Ron Artest both netted 17 in defeat.
The Kings, who will host the Washington Wizards on Friday, are a solid 21-12 at home this season. They have won three in a row at home.
Memphis begins a three-game road trip in Sacramento. On Monday, Denver's Allen Iverson scored 26 points and handed out seven assists, while Carmelo Anthony added 23 points with nine rebounds and five assists, as the Nuggets downed the Grizzlies, 120-106, at FedEx Forum.
Rudy Gay scored a game-high 30 points and Hakim Warrick added 29 points and seven rebounds for the lowly Grizzlies, who failed in their attempt to win a season-best third consecutive game.
The Grizzlies are a dismal 5-29 on the road this season. They will visit the Lakers on Friday and the Clippers Saturday at the Staples Center.
