(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Suns shoot for their fourth straight win when they wrap up a five-game homestand this evening versus the Sacramento Kings at US Airways Center.
The Suns are 3-1 so far on the stand and 24-10 as the host this season. They posted their third straight victory with a 123-115 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, as Amare Stoudemire scored 36 points and hauled in 11 rebounds to lead the way.
Steve Nash added 21 points and 13 assists for the Suns, who are one game behind San Antonio for the fifth spot in the Western Conference playoff chase. Raja Bell contributed 18 points and Boris Diaw ended with 16 in a winning effort. Phoenix, which is two games off the Lakers' lead in the Pacific, has also won three in a row as the host.
Sacramento will try for its third straight victory tonight. In Thursday's 96-85 triumph over the Portland Trail Blazers, Ron Artest had 22 points and six steals to extend the Kings' short win streak.
Beno Udrih totaled 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Sacramento. Brad Miller also had 14 points, while John Salmons chipped in 11 points and Mikki Moore 10.
The Kings are 10-23 away from ARCO Arena this season.
Saturday's showdown between the Kings and Suns is the fourth and final matchup of the season. Phoenix is 3-0 so far this season and has won eight of the last nine meetings.
Sacramento has lost four straight on the road in this series.
