(Sports Network) - The red-hot Detroit Pistons shoot for their ninth consecutive win tonight, when they pay a visit to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
Detroit just completed a perfect five-game homestand with Sunday's 113-87 win over the Charlotte Bobcats at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Tayshaun Prince scored 21 points and Richard Hamilton added 18, as the Central Division- leading Pistons won their eighth straight game.

The Pistons have won two straight on the road and are 17-9 away from the Motor City this season.
Atlanta will try to put the brakes on a two-game slide when they welcome Detroit to Philips Arena. In Saturday's 108-89 setback to the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center, Josh Childress netted 18 points for the Hawks, who have lost two straight since a three-game winning streak. Zaza Pachulia recorded 11 points and nine rebounds, as Atlanta fell to 4-9 over its last 13 contests.
After hosting the Pistons down south, the Hawks will hit the road for six straight games against the Bobcats, Lakers, Kings, Warriors, Jazz and Spurs. Atlanta is 15-10 as the host and 6-16 on the road this season.
Tuesday's game between Detroit and Atlanta is the fourth and final meeting of the regular season. The Pistons are 3-0 so far in the series and have won seven of eight and 11 of the last 13 meetings.
Detroit has won seven of nine and eight of its last 11 at Atlanta.
