NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, April 4th (All times eastern)

Golden State Warriors (45-30) at Memphis Grizzlies (20-55), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors are just a game off the final playoff spot in the West, and will resume a four-game road trip tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.

Golden State has dropped the first two tests of the swing and three straight on the road overall. It suffered a 111-86 setback to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday at American Airlines Center, as Monta Ellis ended with 27 points and Baron Davis contributed 20 in a losing effort.

The Warriors, who trail the Denver Nuggets by one game for the eighth seed in the West standings, will also visit the New Orleans Hornets on the road trip. Golden State is 20-18 away from Oakland this season.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will conclude a three-game homestand on Friday, and are 14-24 at FedExForum in 2007-08.

The Grizzlies are 1-1 on the homestand and ended a two-game slide with a 130-114 victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday. Javaris Crittenton scored 23 points off the bench and Rudy Gay added 21 for the Grizzlies.

Mike Conley contributed 18 points and Juan Navarro added 16 points, while Mike Miller netted 15 in a winning cause. Grizzlies center Darko Milicic is questionable against Golden State with a bruised left shoulder.

Friday's game between Golden State and Memphis is the fourth and final matchup of the season. The Warriors are 3-0 in the season series and have won six straight over Memphis.

Golden State has won two in a row after losing its last five at Memphis.
