New Orleans Hornets (32-14) at Utah Jazz (30-18), 9 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The red-hot Utah Jazz attempt to extend their winning streak to nine games when they welcome the New Orleans Hornets tonight to EnergySolutions Arena.
On Saturday, Carlos Boozer scored 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Jazz past the Memphis Grizzlies, 110-91, at FedExForum. Deron Williams and Ronnie Brewer had 16 points each for the Jazz, who have won 12 of their last 13 contests overall.
Williams also dished out 11 assists, while Mehmet Okur scored 15 and grabbed 13 rebounds for Utah. Matt Harpring tallied 12 points and Kyle Korver had 14 points off the bench on 6-of-6 shooting from the floor in the win.
The Jazz, who have also won 10 in a row as the host, are an impressive 20-3 at home this season. Utah will visit the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday at the Pepsi Center.
New Orleans, which plays the middle contest of a three-game road trip, attempts to halt a two-game losing streak. On Friday, Ron Artest scored 24 points to lead the Sacramento Kings past New Orleans, 112-103, at ARCO Arena.
Peja Stojakovic recorded a game-high 25 points for the Hornets, which had a nine-game winning streak prior to this current slide. Tyson Chandler had 21 points, while Chris Paul poured in 15 points and dished out 19 assists in a losing cause.
The Hornets are 16-6 on the road this season. They will visit Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday at US Airways Center.
This is the second meeting of the season between the Hornets and Utah. On November 23, Boozer scored 19 points and ripped down 16 rebounds as the Jazz coasted to a 99-71 rout of the Hornets at New Orleans Arena.
The Hornets have dropped three straight at Utah.
