(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets have been struggling lately, and will try for a win this evening against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
The Hornets opened the season with nine wins over their first 11 games, but have since dropped four of five. In Monday's 103-94 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at New Orleans Arena, Chris Paul poured in a game-high 31 points with 11 assists.
Peja Stojakovic collected 17 points and David West recorded 10 points and a game-best 14 rebounds for the Hornets, who will put a Western Conference-best 7-2 road mark on the line tonight in Atlanta.
Meanwhile, the Hawks have won three of their last four games, including Wednesday's 96-80 home triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Joe Johnson scored 21 points to lead the Hawks, who are 4-3 as the host this season. Zaza Pachulia added 14 points and eight rebounds, while Josh Childress and Al Horford each contributed 12 points in a winning effort.
On the injury front for Atlanta, forward Marvin Williams is questionable for Friday's game with strained right hip.
The Hornets won both meetings with Atlanta last season and have won four of six and five of the last eight matchups.
New Orleans has lost five of the last seven trips to Philips Arena.
