Indiana Pacers (6-8) at Denver Nuggets (9-5), 9 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Indiana Pacers start a four-game road trip when they visit the Denver Nuggets tonight at the Pepsi Center.
This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On November 10th, Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Nuggets erased a 25-point deficit and knocked off the Pacers, 113-106, at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Nuggets have won seven in a row in the season series. The Pacers have dropped three in a row at Denver.
The last time the Pacers defeated the Nuggets was on March 7, 2004 at Denver.
Indiana tries to get back on the winning track. Superstar LeBron James scored 30 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and dished out 10 assists to lift the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 111-106, over the Pacers on Sunday at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Jamaal Tinsley poured in 24 points and dished out 11 assists in the loss to Cleveland for the Pacers, while Marquis Daniels contributed 25 points off the bench. Danny Granger added 21 points for Indiana, which had a two-game winning streak halted.
The Pacers are 2-3 on the road this season. They will also visit Portland, Seattle and the Clippers on the current swing.
All-Star forward Jermaine O'Neal, who is averaging 13.2 points and 7.1 rebounds for the Pacers this season, has missed three straight games with a sore left knee. Indiana is 2-1 in that span.
Denver will also attempt to get back on the winning track this evening. Tracy McGrady scored a game-high 35 points as the Houston Rockets pulled out of their recent slump with a blowout win over the Nuggets, 109-81, on Saturday at the Toyota Center.
Allen Iverson scored 18, and Carmelo Anthony had 17 points in the loss to Houston for the Nuggets, who have dropped two of their last three games overall. J.R. Smith chipped in 13 points off the bench for Denver, which shot a woeful 35.4 percent from the field in defeat.
The Nuggets are 6-1 at home this season. They have won five straight at the Pepsi Center.
Forward Kenyon Martin has bone bruise of his right tibia and is doubtful for tonight's contest. Martin is averaging 8.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 13 contests this season for Denver.
Denver is scheduled to visit Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday at the Staples Center.
