Memphis Grizzlies (4-9) at New Jersey Nets (7-7), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets return home after a successful road trip, as they welcome the Memphis Grizzlies tonight to the Izod Center.
New Jersey has won three in a row and finished its four-game road trip with a 3-1 record. Richard Jefferson scored 27 points and Bostjan Nachbar hit the go- ahead free throws with 28.4 seconds left as the Nets edged the Los Angeles Lakers, 102-100, on Sunday at the Staples Center.
Vince Carter ended with 19 points and Jason Kidd contributed 15 points, seven rebounds and 14 assists for New Jersey, which has won three straight following a six-game skid.
The Nets, who have dropped four in a row as the host, are 3-5 at home this season. They will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday at the Izod Center.
The Grizzlies try to win back-to-back games for the first time this season, as they open a two-game road trip this evening. On Saturday, Rudy Gay scored 27 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Memphis past the Washington Wizards, 124-118, at the FedExForum.
Juan Carlos Navarro hit five three-pointers and finished with 28 points in the win over New Jersey for the Grizzlies, while Pau Gasol added 21 and nine rebounds for Memphis, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Kyle Lowry and Mike Miller finished with 17 points apiece for the Grizzlies, who shot 52.6 percent (41-for-78) from the floor.
Memphis will visit the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday at Air Canada Centre. The Grizzlies are 1-5 on the road this season.
Forward Darko Milicic (sprained left thumb) has missed five straight games and is doubtful for tonight's contest. Milicic is averaging 10.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in eight games this season for Memphis.
The Nets have won three in a row over Memphis. The Grizzlies have lost two straight after winning their last two at New Jersey.
