New Orleans Hornets (17-10) at Memphis Grizzlies (8-19), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets attempt to extend their winning streak to three games, as they visit the Memphis Grizzlies tonight at FedExForum.
This is the third contest of the season between the clubs. The Hornets won the first two contests, as they earned a pair of two-point overtime victories at home and on the road.
The Hornets are scheduled to host the Grizzlies on February 9, 2008 at New Orleans Arena in the fourth and final contest of the campaign between the clubs.
New Orleans plays the opener of a brief two-game road trip. On Saturday, David West scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Hornets crushed the Minnesota Timberwolves, 110-76, at New Orleans Arena.
Chris Paul finished with 19 points and 15 assists in the victory for the Hornets, who have won two in a row and five of their last eight games overall. Peja Stojakovic scored 11 points, while Jannero Pargo netted 13 and Tyson Chandler grabbed 14 rebounds in the win.
The Hornets are 9-5 on the road this season. They are scheduled to visit the Bobcats on Friday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Memphis plays the middle contest of a three-game homestand. On Saturday, Andre Iguodala's pull-up jumper as time expired lifted the Philadelphia 76ers to a 99-97 win over the Grizzlies at FedExForum.
Pau Gasol scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed 13 boards in the loss for Memphis, while Rudy Gay registered 19 points before fouling out for Grizzlies, who have lost two in a row and four of their last six games overall. Mike Miller contributed 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in defeat.
The Grizzlies are 5-9 at home this season. They will host Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets on Friday in the finale of the current homestand.
