(Sports Network) - The Southeast Division-leading Orlando Magic take aim at their third straight win this evening, when they open a short two-game road trip against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.
The Magic, who will also visit the Detroit Pistons, have lost three straight on the road and are 16-9 as the visitor this season. Orlando has won two straight overall and recorded a 102-100 victory over the Pistons on Monday at Amway Arena, as Rashard Lewis dropped in a bank shot as time expired to lead Detroit to victory.
Hedo Turkoglu had 26 points and eight assists, while Dwight Howard ended with 23 points and eight rebounds for Orlando. On the injury front for the Magic, guard Jameer Nelson is doubtful for Wednesday's game against Memphis because of a strained tendon in his right foot.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will conclude a two-game homestand on Wednesday and are 8-13 at FedExForum this season. The Grizzlies, who are last in the Southwest Division, recorded a 104-90 victory over the Chicago Bulls in the opener of the stand on Monday.
Mike Miller and Rudy Gay both scored 24 points to lead Memphis, which won for the second time in its last three games. Pau Gasol added 12 points and 10 boards, while Hakim Warrick had 12 points off the bench in the win. Gasol is questionable for Wednesday's game against Orlando.
The Grizzlies posted a 123-119 victory over the Magic on December 15 this season at Amway Arena. Gay scored 32 points to lead the charge.
Memphis has won nine of the last 11 meetings with Orlando, which has lost five straight after winning its last four games at the Grizzlies.
