NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Friday, November 23rd (All times eastern)

Sacramento Kings (4-8) at Portland Trail Blazers (4-8), 10 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The slumping Portland Trail Blazers play the second of a four-game homestand tonight, when they host the Sacramento Kings at the Rose Garden.

On Wednesday, Jason Kidd recorded his third triple-double of the season and scored New Jersey's last five points, as the Nets closed the game with the final eight points for a 106-101 victory over the Blazers at the Rose Garden.

Brandon Roy ended with 25 points for the Trail Blazers, who have lost five in a row. LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points, while Jarrett Jack netted 13 in a losing effort.

Portland is scheduled to host the Orlando Magic on Monday and the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday in the finale of the current homestand.

Sacramento tries to halt a two-game losing streak, as it wraps up a two-game road trip. Shawn Marion scored 25 points and Steve Nash poured in 18 points and handed out 15 assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to an easy 127-111 win over the Kings on Wednesday at US Airways Center.

Francisco Garcia scored a career-high 31 points in the loss for Sacramento, which has dropped four of six overall. Kevin Martin ended with 19 points and John Salmons had 21 points and 10 boards, as the Kings fell to 0-6 on the road this season.

After tonight's contest, the Kings return to California for a five-game homestand. They will host San Antonio, Golden State, Houston, Utah and the Clippers at ARCO Arena.

Last season, Sacramento and the Trail Blazers split four contests. The Kings have won three of their last four contests at Portland.
