Charlotte Bobcats (6-5) at Orlando Magic (10-3), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Orlando Magic try to get back on the winning track when they open a brief two-game homestand this evening versus the Charlotte Bobcats at Amway Arena.
Orlando, which is 9-2 over its last 11 games, had a five-game winning streak stopped after Wednesday's 128-110 setback to the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center. Dwight Howard was a force for the Magic, recording 34 points and 16 rebounds in a losing effort. Howard is averaging 23.1 points and an Eastern Conference-best 14.4 rebounds this season.
Hedo Turkoglu posted 26 points and Jameer Nelson ended with 15 points and nine assists for Orlando, which will also host the Miami Heat.
Meanwhile, the Bobcats had a short two-game winning streak come to an end following Wednesday's 114-111 overtime loss versus the Washington Wizards at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Raymond Felton had 27 points and 12 assists and Gerald Wallace scored 25 points for the Bobcats, who ended a three-game homestand with a 2-1 mark. Emeka Okafor registered 20 points and 14 boards for Charlotte, which used a fourth-quarter run to send the game to overtime.
Charlotte and Orlando split four meetings last season. The Magic are 5-3 over their last eight games against the Bobcats, who have dropped their last four trips to Orlando.
The Bobcats have lost five of the six all-time matchups at the Magic.
