Los Angeles Clippers (8-13) at Memphis Grizzlies (6-15), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The slumping Memphis Grizzlies attempt to halt a five-game losing streak when they host the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at FedExForum.
This is the first meeting of the campaign between the clubs. The Clippers were 3-0 against the Grizzlies last season.
The Grizzlies have lost two of their last three at the Clippers.
Memphis concludes a two-game homestand tonight. On Tuesday, Chauncey Billups scored 28 points and dished out 14 assists to lead the Detroit Pistons over the Grizzlies, 113-103, at FedExForum.
Rudy Gay scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss for Memphis, which has dropped five in a row and eight of its last 11 games overall. Pau Gasol finished with 18 points and eight rebounds, while Kyle Lowry netted 18 in defeat.
The Grizzlies are 4-6 at home this season and have dropped two in a row at FedExForum. Memphis is scheduled to visit Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic on Saturday at Amway Arena.
Los Angeles plays the third of a four-game road trip on Friday. It is 1-1 on the current swing. Emeka Okafor scored 25 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in a 108-103 victory over the Clippers on Wednesday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
Corey Maggette scored 23 points in the loss for Los Angeles, which has dropped nine of its last 11 contests overall. Chris Kaman ended with 17 points and 13 rebounds in a losing cause, as the Clippers lost one night after a 91-82 victory over the New Jersey Nets at the Izod Center.
The Clippers are 4-6 on the road this season. They will act as the visitor on Sunday against the Lakers at the Staples Center.
