Detroit Pistons (15-6) at Houston Rockets (11-11), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Houston Rockets attempt to halt a two-game losing streak when they host the Detroit Pistons tonight at the Toyota Center.
This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Detroit is scheduled to host the Rockets on December 23rd at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
These teams split a pair of contests last season and have also split the last four contests at Houston in the series.
The Rockets open a three-game homestand against Detroit. On Monday, Willie Green scored 20 points and the Philadelphia 76ers built a big lead to defeat the Rockets, 100-88, at the Wachovia Center.
Tracy McGrady had 12 points before leaving in the third quarter with a sprained right ankle for the Rockets, who have lost four of their last six games overall. Bonzi Wells led the way with 24 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for Houston, which had just 28 points from its starters. Yao Ming ended with 12 points and nine rebounds, and was just 3-of-11 from the field.
McGrady, who leads the Rockets in scoring (24.6 ppg) and assists (5.5 apg), is questionable for tonight's contest.
The Rockets are 5-3 at home this season. They will host the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday and the Orlando Magic on December 19th at the Toyota Center.
Detroit concludes a two-game road trip. On Tuesday, Chauncey Billups scored 28 points and dished out 14 assists to lead the Pistons over the Memphis Grizzlies, 113-103, at FedExForum.
Richard Hamilton scored 27 points and Tayshaun Prince netted 19 with seven rebounds for the Pistons, who have won two straight and seven of their last eight games overall. Jason Maxiell added 15 points in the victory.
The Pistons return home to host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday and the Golden State Warriors on Sunday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
