Miami Heat (4-15) at Los Angeles Clippers (7-11), 3:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The disappointing Miami Heat play the fifth of a six-game road trip today, as they visit the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.
This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Miami will host the Clippers on March 10, 2008 at AmericanAirlines Arena.
The Clippers were 2-0 against Miami last season, and have won four of the last six contests overall.
Miami has lost three straight and five of its last six at the Clippers.
The slumping Heat are 0-4 on the swing and have dropped five in a row overall. Baron Davis scored 25 points - including 13 in the fourth - to jump-start a furious Golden State rally and lead the Warriors to a 120-113 win over Miami on Friday at ORACLE Arena.
Dwyane Wade ended with 33 and 10 assists in the loss to the Warriors for Miami, which was in control for three and a half quarters before the late meltdown led to a fifth straight defeat. Ricky Davis had 20 points and Dorell Wright netted 19, while Shaquille O'Neal finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.
Miami finishes its road trip against Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns on Monday at US Airways Center. The Heat are 2-9 on the road this season.
Los Angeles picked up a win in its last outing. On Friday, Chris Kaman matched a career-high with 26 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Clippers snapped a seven-game skid by fighting back to beat the Sacramento Kings, 97-87, at ARCO Arena.
Corey Maggette added 18 points and nine boards in the win over Sacramento for the Clippers. Tim Thomas chipped in 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Cuttino Mobley had 12 points in the victory.
The Clippers are 4-6 at home this season. After tonight's game, they will embark on a four-game road trip with games against New Jersey, Charlotte, Memphis and the Lakers.
