Houston Rockets (10-9) at New Jersey Nets (9-10), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets wrap up a short two-game homestand this evening versus the Houston Rockets at the Izod Center.
New Jersey has alternated wins and losses over its last six games and suffered a 100-93 loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday. Richard Jefferson scored 31 points and Vince Carter added 19 for the Nets, who lost one day after winning by 21 points over Cleveland.
The Nets were without guard Jason Kidd (migraine) and guard Antoine Wright (shoulder) against the Knicks. Kidd and Wright are questionable for Friday's game, while Carter (sore right calf/ankle) is listed as probable.
New Jersey is 4-7 at the Izod Center this season.
Houston will open a three-game road trip tonight and ended a two-game losing streak with a 105-92 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday at the Toyota Center.
Yao Ming scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Bonzi Wells scored 24 points off the bench for the Rockets, who won for the fourth time in six tries. Tracy McGrady had a triple-double with 17 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to post the first triple-double by a Rocket in more than four years. It was McGrady's third career triple-double and first in a Houston uniform.
The Rockets will also visit Toronto and Philadelphia and are 5-6 away from the Toyota Center this season.
Houston took both meetings with New Jersey last season and has won five of the last six matchups in the series. Houston has also won four straight after losing its previous four trips to the Meadowlands.
