(Sports Network) - The struggling Miami Heat will resume a six-game road trip out west when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers this evening at the Rose Garden.
Miami has dropped three in a row overall and fell to 0-2 on the trek after Monday's 110-101 loss to the Utah Jazz at EnergySolutions Arena. Dwyane Wade had 26 points and 10 assists and Shaquille O'Neal added 12 points for the Heat, who fell to 4-13 on the season and 2-7 as the visitor.
Ricky Davis and Jason Williams both netted 15 points and Alonzo Mourning had 13, as Miami lost for the eighth time in 11 tries. The Heat will also visit Golden State, the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix on the trip.
Portland will open a short two-game homestand on Thursday and put the brakes on a four-game slide with Monday's 106-105 triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.
Travis Outlaw's running bank shot as time expired lifted the Blazers to their first road victory of the season. Outlaw scored seven of his 21 points in the final minute, while Brandon Roy registered 26 points and LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 23 points.
The Blazers will also host Milwaukee and are 5-3 at home this season.
Miami went 2-0 against Portland last season and has won five straight in the series. The Heat have also won three in a row at the Rose Garden.
