San Antonio Spurs (49-20) at Golden State Warriors (33-38), 10:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs try to collect their 50th win of the season, as they visit the Golden State Warriors tonight at ORACLE Arena.
A win tonight would give San Antonio its eighth straight 50-win season.
The Spurs, who have already clinched a playoff berth, have won three in a row and will conclude a two-game road trip. Manu Ginobili scored 19 points and was one of seven Spurs to reach double figures, as San Antonio crushed the Seattle SuperSonics, 120-79, on Sunday at KeyArena.
Tony Parker poured in 18 points and dished out seven assists, while Tim Duncan posted 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, who have won 16 of their last 18 games overall. Jacque Vaughn ended with 13 points, while Matt Bonner netted 12 and Michael Finley and Bruce Bowen contributed 10 points apiece.
Veteran forward Robert Horry (pulled stomach muscle) is doubtful for tonight's contest. Horry is averaging 3.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 62 games this season for San Antonio.
San Antonio is 25-11 on the road this season. The Spurs return home to host the Hornets on Wednesday and the Jazz on Friday at the AT&T Center.
The Warriors, who open a three-game homestand, are 1 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. On Sunday, Kobe Bryant's streak of scoring at least 50 points ended, but the Lakers continued their winning ways by defeating Golden State, 115-113, at the Staples Center.
Monta Ellis scored a career-high tying 31 points to lead the Warriors, who have dropped two of their last three games overall. Al Harrington added 23 points in defeat.
Golden State is 25-10 at home this season. The Warriors will also host Phoenix and Memphis on the current homestand.
This is the third of four meetings between the clubs this season. The teams split the first two contests, as both squads picked up a win at home.
The home team has won four in a row in the series. The Spurs have won 12 of their last 16 games at Golden State.
San Antonio will host the Warriors on April 7th at the AT&T Center.
