NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Sunday, March 25th (All times eastern)

Denver Nuggets (34-33) at Cleveland Cavaliers (42-27), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Cavaliers will wrap up a three-game homestand tonight when the Denver Nuggets pay a visit to Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavaliers are just 1 1/2 games behind the Detroit Pistons in both the Central Division and Eastern Conference standings, and posted a 90-68 victory over the New York Knicks on Friday.

LeBron James scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, as the Cavs improved to 27-9 as the host this season. Larry Hughes and Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 16 points apiece for the Cavs, who ended a two-game skid and won for the ninth time in 11 tries.

Denver, meanwhile, has dropped two in a row after a five-game winning streak and suffered a 121-94 setback to the Toronto Raptors on Friday at the Air Canada Centre.

Linas Kleiza and J.R. Smith both netted 20 points for the Nuggets, who are 1-2 so far on a five-game road trip. Steve Blake had 15 points and Allen Iverson scored 14 for the Nuggets, who are 15-16 as the visitor this season and seventh in the Western Conference playoff race.

The Nuggets will close out the trek at Detroit on Monday. In injury news for Denver, forward Eduardo Najera (leg) is probable and center Marcus Camby (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Tonight's showdown between Denver and Cleveland is the second and final meeting of the regular season. The Nuggets won the first matchup, 110-99, on January 19 at the Pepsi Center and have won three of four and six of the last eight meetings.

Denver, though, has lost eight of 10 and 12 of its last 15 at Cleveland.
