Dallas Mavericks (57-11) at Atlanta Hawks (27-43), 1 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks shoot for their sixth straight win today when they resume a six-game road trip against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.
Dallas, the top team in the NBA, is a perfect 4-0 so far on the trip and notched a 109-95 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday at TD Banknorth Garden.
Jason Terry poured in 29 points and dished out six assists, as Dallas improved to 26-7 as the visitor this season. Dirk Nowitzki had 20 points and Josh Howard netted 19 with 11 rebounds for the Mavericks, who have won 22 of their last 24 games. Devin Harris contributed 18 points and six assists in the win.
The Southwest Division-leading Mavs will close out the trek against the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on Tuesday. In injury news for Dallas, guard Devean George (knee) is probable for Sunday's game.
Atlanta has lost two straight, four of five and will wrap up a four-game homestand versus the Mavericks this afternoon.
The Hawks were handed a 102-100 overtime loss on Friday versus the Portland Trail Blazers, as Salim Stoudamire scored a career-high 37 points -- 23 of which came in the second half and overtime.
Josh Childress finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Josh Smith added 17 points and 11 boards for Atlanta, which fell to 1-2 on the current stand and 15-20 as the host this season. The Hawks are also five games off a playoff spot in the East.
On the injury front for the Hawks, center Lorenzen Wright (flu-like symptoms) is questionable versus the Mavericks.
Sunday's battle between Dallas and Atlanta is the second and final meeting of the regular season. The Mavs won the first matchup, 110-87, on February 26 at American Airlines Center.
Dallas has won three straight, four of five and 13 of the last 16 encounters. It has also won five of seven and six of its last 10 at Atlanta.
