NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Wednesday, April 18th (All times eastern)

Miami Heat (44-37) at Orlando Magic (39-42), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - A pair of teams headed to the playoffs meet tonight, as the Orlando Magic welcome the Miami Heat to Amway Arena.

Miami has lost three of its last five games and had a two-game winning streak come to an end with Monday's 91-89 setback to the Boston Celtics in the finale of a three-game homestand at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Jason Williams and Jason Kapono each scored 16 points, while Shaquille O'Neal had 14 points and seven rebounds in limited action for the Heat, who sat most of their regulars in the fourth quarter. The Southeast Division-champion Heat are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race and finished the regular season with a 27-14 record at home.

In injury news for Miami, forwards Udonis Haslem (groin), James Posey (wrist/shoulder) and center Alonzo Mourning (knee) are listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game. Also, O'Neal (rest) and guard Dwyane Wade (rest) are both questionable against the Magic.

Orlando, meanwhile, is also headed to the playoffs and sits eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, just one game behind both Washington and New Jersey. The Magic have won three in a row and notched a 95-89 victory over the Wizards on Tuesday at the Verizon Center.

Hedo Turkoglu scored 26 points and Dwight Howard was a force with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks for the Magic, who have won five of six and finished the regular season with a 15-26 road record.

The Magic have won two straight at home and are 24-16 at Amway Arena this season.

Wednesday's game between Southeast Division rivals is the fourth and final meeting of the regular season. The Magic are 3-0 so far this season against the Heat and have won four straight in the series.

Miami has won five of its last seven at Orlando.
