Denver Nuggets (43-36) at Memphis Grizzlies (19-60), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The red-hot Denver Nuggets finish a two-game road trip, as they visit the NBA-worst Memphis Grizzlies tonight at the FedExForum.
Denver is the sixth seed in the Western Conference playoff race and will play Phoenix or San Antonio in the opening round of the postseason. On Friday, Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points as the playoff-bound Nuggets rallied late to extend their season-high winning streak to eight games with a 107-105 win against the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at the Ford Center.
Allen Iverson scored 23 points for the Nuggets, while Marcus Camby posted 15 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Nene added 12 points and nine boards and Steve Blake contributed 10 points and 10 assists.
The Nuggets are 21-18 on the road this season. They return home to host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday and will wrap up their regular-season schedule on Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center.
Memphis has dropped six in a row and plays the middle contest of a three-game homestand. On Tuesday, Mike Bibby poured in 25 points and dished out seven assists asSacramento reeled off 25 straight points at one point in the first quarter to cruise past the Grizzlies, 112-100, at FedExForum.
Dahntay Jones led Memphis with 20 points and Pau Gasol collected 17 points and nine rebounds in the loss to the Kings for Memphis. Stromile Swift tallied 14 points for the Grizzlies, who have lost 10 of their last 12 games overall.
The Grizzlies are 12-27 at home this season. They will host the Spurs on Monday before concluding their schedule against the Timberwolves on Wednesday at the Target Center.
Rookie forward Rudy Gay (sprained right ankle) is questionable for tonight's contest. Gay is averaging 11.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 77 games this season for Memphis. He has missed Memphis' last two contests.
Denver is 2-1 against Memphis this season and has won eight of the last 10 contests in the series. The Nuggets have won three of their last four at the Grizzlies.
