(Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers try to stay perfect on their four-game road trip as they take on the Miami Heat this evening at AmericanAirlines Arena.
Portland has won the first two contests on its road trip, including Sunday's 94-73 victory over the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center. LaMarcus Aldridge scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the Blazers, who are 10-16 as the visitor this season.
Jarrett Jack also scored 18 points, and Juan Dixon added 14 points off the bench for Portland, while Zach Randolph finished with 10 points and eight boards in the victory.
The Blazers, who are near the basement in the Northwest standings, will close out the trek on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena.
Meanwhile, the Heat have won six of their last seven games and posted a 100-85 home win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday.
Dwyane Wade scored 18 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter to lead the way as the Heat improved to 14-10 in South Beach this season. Shaquille O'Neal contributed 16 points and seven rebounds to help Miami, which is four games off the lead in the Southwest Division.
Tuesday's matchup between Portland and Miami is the second and final meeting of the regular season. The Heat won the first meeting, 93-90, on January 7 at The Rose Garden.
Miami has won four in a row in the series, while Portland has won five of its last seven trips to South Beach.
